James Hammock Memorial Ride 2016

The ride took place Saturday, April 2, 2016.

Thanks to everyone who came out and supported this event. Thank you to everyone who donated door prizes and to Tyler and Samantha Parson for donating the Glock pistol. Over $2000 was presented to the Hammock family. A special thank you to Tracy Allen and the Christian Motorcycle Association riders for helping block traffic, and to all the Law Enforcement Agencies that provided escorts. It was an awesome ride! Also thanks to Lee Arrendale State Prison for the use of their training facility, and to their staff for assisting.

James Hammock RIP

James Hammock died Thursday, October 9, 2014 at Athens Regional Medical Center from injuries suffered in a September 20, 2014 motorcycle accident on Georgia Highway 51 in Franklin County.  James served as President of our Chapter. James was a training instructor having worked with the Georgia Department of Corrections, a jail administrator with the Hart County Sheriff’s Department and a member of the Royston First United Methodist Church. He was a member of the Maysville Masonic Lodge and a United States Marine.
